Self catering Breton farmhouse and gites situated in a beautiful traditional village in Central Brittany with a unique French atmosphere.
All our accommodation has comfortable, well-fitted family facilities (inclusive of all linen, towels, electricity, central heating, etc), with private furnished terraces (with barbecues). Each unit has English Satellite TV/video/DVD. The large sunny garden (over an acre) leading down to the river, is partially wooded with extensive lawns and a communal terrace with large barbecue and pergola, hammocks, sun loungers, picnic tables and an access bridge to the towpath - "Le Jardin Magique"

Our gites all enjoy the same facilities as the house, for example communal gardens, swimming pool and children's facilities adjacent.
Cockatoo Court
Comfortably accommodates up to 6 people.
Adjoining La Maison Magique, formerly the old hayloft and retaining many original features including beamed ceilings, Cockatoo Court has been sympathetically converted into a three bedroomed gite with its own furnished private terrace with table and chairs and barbecue. Bedroom 1 is a family room with double and single beds, bedroom two has a double bed and bedroom three a single bed, all with hanging space and drawer space. The kitchen, which overlooks the rear garden, is fully equipped and incorporates a dining area with table and 6 chairs. The lounge area has comfortable seating, English satellite TV/video/DVD which can play UK video cassettes and CD player.
Swift Court - (wheelchair friendly)
Comfortably accommodates up to 6 people
Originally the milking parlour and now converted to a two/three bedroomed gite, Swift is all on garden level and offers facilities for the wheelchair bound. There is a private furnished patio area including barbecue. There are two bedrooms - one double and one with two single beds (one a bunk bed). There is a spacious fully equipped kitchen with dining area and seating for up to six people. The very comfortable, spacious lounge, with a large working inglenook fireplace with wood burner, overlooks the gardens. It is equipped with English satellite TV/video/DVD compatible with UK video cassettes and a CD player. A feature of the lounge is its very comfortable fold-away traditional Breton double bed. Access to Swift is via a gentle slope to the garden and, together with the specially adapted shower room (wet room) and toilet (raised toilet seat available) and handrails, is wheelchair/buggy friendly. A further adjoining three-bedded room with en-suite shower and toilet can be included for larger parties. ALL ACCESS IS RAMPED AND DOORS ARE EXTRA WIDE FOR EASY WHEELCHAIR ACCESS.
Heron Court
Comfortably accommodates 5/6
Newly refurbished, Heron Court is on garden level and comprises an en-suite family room with double and single bed, a double room also with en-suite facilities and space for a single bed, and a lounge/diner with French doors leading directly onto the garden. There is a decked terrace with garden furniture and barbecue and all rooms have magnificent views of the garden and river beyond. It is equipped with English satellite TV/video/DVD compatible with UK video cassettes and a CD player.

THE VILLAGE - Saint Nicolas des Eaux
We promise you that you will fall in love with Saint Nicolas des Eaux - one of the most delightful and picturesque villages in the whole of Brittany. Saint Nicolas des Eaux is the very heart of the stunning Blavet Valley where the local people have taken great pride in its appearance with a multitude of flowers adorning the river bank. Whilst staying at La Maison Magique you can abandon your car for the duration of your holiday, except for the occasional trip to the supermarket and the local markets to stock up. Fresh bread and pain au chocolat is available daily from one of the local bars.
Just a very short stroll from your front door you will find several welcoming riverside bars, restaurants and creperies, bicycle hire (at La Maison Magique), river boat excursions, canoeing/kayaking and pedaloes. All the bars and restaurants have large outdoor terraces overlooking the river and eating and drinking is comparatively low cost. Early evening is a favourite time to sit and sip your wine and watch the world go by.
Next door to La Maison Magique is a large, open-air swimming pool for the use of our guests set in attractive gardens with its own pool-side bar and sun loungers. There is a play area for the children, crazy golf and a boules court. Here you can relax and forget the children for a few hours. If you prefer to relax on your own patio or in the grounds of La Maison Magique there is a large lawned area and woodland leading to the towpath, this is a children's paradise.
At festival times in the summer there are open-air dances, fetes and other open-air activities.
The river Blavet is wide, slow-moving and navigable, abounds with wildlife and is one of France's finest angling river, world renowned for its carp. Daily or period angling permits, are available. For full information, click on the fishing link.
This is a quiet spot for those seeking more placid activities such as birdwatching, sketching, walking, cycling, angling, canoeing, swimming, river excursions, eating and drinking. Sports such as tennis, ten-pin bowling, golf, go-karting, quad biking are close at hand.
