Welcome to Wisteria - Corlay, 22
Wisteria cottage is an 18th Century farm house with lots of character set in beautiful tranquil countryside.
The cottage sleeps 4 plus a cot. At the front of the cottage is a terraced area with a barbecue, tables and chairs for your use.
The cottage has an open plan floor area with a fully equipped kitchen stepping down to a lounge/dining area.
It is comfortably furnished and benefits from a log burner. On the first mezzanine floor is double bedroom with a fantastic Louis XV embroidered bed.
On this level is the toilet and washroom.. Accessed from here across a walkway (the kids will love it) is a small twin room with two low beds.
The newly built bathroom is on the ground floor and has a full size bath, separate shower cubicle and a washbasin.. The washing machine is located here as well. All the bed linen and towels are provided, but not beach or pool towels. Wisteria is attached to our own house so if you have any queries or enquiries we are on hand to help wherever possible.
Cottage facilities.
Living area: Wide screen T.V. with basic satellite channels. D.V.D. player with a selection of films. C.D./ player/radio. We have various board games and a selection of books for all ages.
Kitchen facilites.
Full size gas cooker. Fridge with freezer box. Microwave. Toaster. Kettle. Coffee percolator and cafetiere. Washing machine. Clothers airer. Iron and ironing board. All cutlery and crockery. Cooking pans and utensils.
Outdoor facilities.
We have a games barn with small pool table, Air hockey, dart board and plenty of bats, balls and children’s playthings.
At the back of the house in a large grassed garden is a 7.5mtr x 3.5 mts swimming pool. It is 1.3 mtrs deep which is an ideal depth for playing games and younger children. The pool is set on two levels, the top level is paved with sun loungers and the lower level is decked with table and chairs.
On the deck is a gazebo with bar and stools. To the right of the pool is a small wooden chalet with extra chairs small fridge and kettle for your use. To the left of the garden is a large plying field with outdoor table tennis, badminton, swings, trampoline and other small playground equipment for children. The grounds are surrounded by a very small stream (sometimes dry in summer) and 7 large walnut trees.
This is a safe area because it is bordered on all sides with land and there is no access to roads. We have a selection of bikes for use.
About the area.
Corlay is central to many large towns and historic cities.
There are two large lakes within 15mins of the cottage, Lac de Guerledan is the largest lake with water sports, restaurants and bars, and the north coast is 40 mins away.
Corlay has shops, bars, banks and a post office. The historical towns of Moncontour (Medieval), Pontivy and Quintin are all close by. Mont St. Michael is 1hr 40 mins for a lovely day out.
Many VTT courses and walks are available.
